Graced Consulting is committed to protecting the privacy and maintaining the trust of all clients, potential clients, research participants, social media enquirers and visitors to the website. 

This privacy policy sets out how Graced Consulting uses, stores and protects any personal data on individuals collected via our business activities.

Graced Consulting may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. If we should update this policy, we may notify you to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 1st November 2023.

Processing information
We process personal information to enable us to provide consultancy, research and interim support services, to promote our services, to maintain our own accounts and records, and for marketing and communications purposes.

This privacy policy outlines the types of personal information that we may collect, store and process. What we collect
For administration and marketing/communications purposes, the following data is collected:

• Communications preferences

In providing consultancy, research and interim services, the following data may be collected on individuals associated with your organisation to enable further understanding on their potential future giving:

• Basic personal details, including name and age
• Contact details
• Nature of the relationship with our client, including information about past giving to the client and hoped for future giving
• Financial, business, family and networking information since this often has a material impact on the way in which the person pursues their philanthropic interests
• Educational information and affiliations to organisations which are in the public domain
• Notes of meetings, correspondence and conversations which we may have with the data subject

What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and to provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

• Responding to your information requests
• Internal record keeping
• Improve our services
• Customising our website and social media presences according to your interests

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone or mail, if you have opted into these communication preferences.

Data retention
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

​When deciding on the duration for data retention, we look at its amount, nature and sensitivity, potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the processing purposes, if these can be achieved by other means and legal requirements.

​For tax purposes, the law requires us to keep basic information about our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for six years after they stop being clients.

​In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Controlling your personal information
You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information, particularly for marketing purposes. If you do not wish us to use your contact details for our own marketing purposes, please email us at sam@gracedconsulting.co.uk. 

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the General Data Protection Regulation. If you would like a copy of the information held on you, please email us at sam@gracedconsulting.co.uk.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect. Under the GDPR, you can also report non-compliance to the ICO.
